I loved writing a tourism campaign for one of the most stunning places on earth.

TAB Long May We Play
Aussies have always prized sportsmen & women as someone to revere, because as long as we can remember, they’ve always stepped up to the plate and helped define our national character.
So we shone a light on our nation’s greatest racing and sporting moments with the TAB, from Bob Hawke’s legendary advice to Aussie bosses after Australia took home the 1983 America’s Cup, to Michelle Payne’s victory speech as the first female jockey to win the Melbourne Cup.

BIG W – Every day’s a big day
This ad was inspired by all the parties my wife and I have thrown for our kids over the years, they weren’t always perfect but they were full of love and BIG W has always been there with everything we needed to pull it off.
Any parent with a young family would agree: ‘Every day’s a big day’, because once kids arrive, the pace of life revs up more than a few gears. Suddenly there are so many more things to consider. The frenetic routine of bathing, sleeping, feeding, getting them dressed, preparing them for school, and always being there to offer them emotional support.
But amongst all the chaos, there’s great joy in raising little people and we wouldn’t change it for the world. That’s why when their birthday comes around, we somehow muster the energy to go that extra mile to host an extraordinary birthday party for them and their friends.
Inspired by this thought, we showed how BIG W is always there to support parents raise a growing family, we highlighted all the imperfect moments that come together to create a perfect birthday party and also created a fresh, new look and feel for BIG W that connected to Mums & Dads everywhere.
‘Reverse Birthday’ launched BIG W’s new ‘Every day is a big day’ brand positioning and worked its socks off nationally across traditional channels and the fun reverse narrative construct worked a treat across various social channels.
It was also fun to re-record one of my favourite tracks ‘Happy Together’ by The Turtles with Song Zu. We had Mum & the Kids join in on the chorus to create a big, family feel.
Below are how we showed up in Facebook Carousels and Branded Instagram Stories

Online, our reverse footage worked brilliantly to grab attention in that crucial first 5 second window, it was also interactive on Facebook Flipbooks, viewed as a series of rapid stills within Instagram Carousels, and kept our audience watching as YouTube Pre-rolls
Below are examples of the Print, Poster and Digital executions of our BIG W Campaign, we crafted a new typeface and added a more playful personality to the BIG W dots.
Sir John Monash Centre War Films
I was honoured to be asked by Eye Candy Animation to work with The Department of Veteran Affair’s Sir John Monash Centre and write a series of historic animations about the brave battles fought by our Anzacs. It’s a state-of-the-art museum and interpretive centre in France that commemorates Australian servicemen and women who served on the Western Front during the First World War.
‘Actions and Tactics Experience’ is a ten-minute CGI ‘bullet time’ film which tells the story of four tactically significant battles that Australians were involved in on the Western Front in France and Belgium.
The battles depicted are Fromelles, Broodseinde, Amiens and Mont St Quentin. Each story shows the great courage of Australian troops against horrific odds and the tactical genius of their General John Monash who – unlike his British peers at the time – had the novel idea of protecting men with machinery and continued to innovate the way the war was fought and won.
The experience is presented across a huge Cinematic Wall Screen and a matching Floor Screen Array. The Wall depicts the battles through the dramatised lens of the troops on the ground while the floor array simultaneously presents animated tactical maps depicting the high-level story of troop movements, objectives and tactical outcomes.
Unfortunately, the narration for these battle animations can’t be shared here due to copyright restrictions, but the imagery can – enjoy.

If you ever get the chance, make a trip to visit The Sir John Monash Centre, it’s located approximately 150 km north of Paris and 20 km east of Amiens. Which is roughly half-way between the town of Villers-Bretonneux and the towns of Corbie and Fouilloy.
Discover just how much our valiant Anzac troops sacrificed and the adversity they overcame to secure the freedoms we enjoy today.
